Apparently starting with the second episode in the second season the shows are mislabelled as 2005 so all software that uses production dates to determine first run, re-run etc. will not record the show (this applies to sage and tivo so far might be others)  So if you have set it to a favourite and first run--change it to re-run as well and your box will pick them up.  I had this problem the last two weeks and couldn't figure out why sage was ignoring my explicit instructions to get the first run shows.  Hope that helps.

Heya,

What version of SageTV are you running? All my Favorites are set to New and Reruns so I do not see this problem on version 2.6. I haven't moved to the latest 4.x version till I know the things I am interested in are solid.

I've had problems along these lines as well, though they were strictly related to EPG issues. I have parental controls enabled and noticed that some stations do not propertly mark the shows for their content. FX is one that constantly screws up the proper rating for the show. Or should I say the problem is mostly seen with FX shows.
Basically to avoid this, setup for first run and reruns. Personally I'd rather be the judge than someone else as to the show being a rerun or not. Much easier to mark the show as watched than just miss it completly.
