Feel free to use this forum/space to either brag about (and show pictures of!) your HTPC/DIY PVR setup!  Or use the space to act as a journal while constructing your project to let others know about the trials and tribulations of setting up your own PC based PVR.   Also if you find a good example of a project page out on the web post a link to it and attach a pic with a description of the project!

(note: if I stumble upon a cool project page I'll post it in this forum with some sort of description and a pic, if you do not want your pvr project blog linked to or image re-posted, please let me know and I'll remove the post )

see the old byopvr user blog/plog/journal section of the site for some ideas and to read previous users experience... It's always been my contention that I learn better from reading peoples first hand accounts of their experiences rather than a bunch of reviews or howto articles.

So feel free to ramble away!  Grin

Another excellent resource to get a sense of what systems/parts are being used with different DIY PVR setups is the PVR Hardware Database

it would be nice if project presenters included dollar figures next to their list of components.
