The SnapStream Store is sponsoring a giveaway of SnapStream's Beyond TV + Hauppauge PVR150+ Firefly Mini bundle

If you wanted to dive in and jump start your project with a hardware encoding tuner card paired with some premium PVR software and a nifty remote this is the giveway to enter!  Even if you already have a tuner card, what could be better than adding an additional tuner and and upgrading the software and remote to boot!

How To Enter:

1. Visit the SnapStream Store BeyondTV + PVR150 page then go to the BeyondTV Feature page. Study it. There's a quiz in step 2!

2. Find the answer to the following question: "The feature of Beyond TV 4 that automatically detects TV commercials and makes it easy to skip them is called ________."

3. Send a forum private message to user giveaway with the answer to the question posed in step 2. 

This contest ends at Midnight Eastern Time on May 28th 2006.  You must be a Registered member of the byopvr forum to participate in this giveaway.   This giveaway is limited to participants in the United States and Canada.

Next week:
Celeron D 2.93, Hyper 48, MachSpeed mobo, ... help me pick a case?

Small clarification: The prize is a white box/OEM PVR 150 "retail" (it includes the IR blaster included which is handy for digital cable/satellite configurations -- but it doesn't come with the hauppauge remote, but you get the superior FireFly mini remote, so who will miss it!) thumbs up good job

Hey rampy, do you know approximately how many folks are in the running for your (and your sponsors) contests? Is there an average? 1 in 1000 chance of winning? 1 in a biliion?

Well we have almost 6000 forum members, but only a cross section of those visit daily/weekly... and only a portion of those participate in the giveaways (on average -- it depends on the prize/duration).  so there's decent odds (better than 1 and 1000 for sure based upon previous giveaways).

Thanks Rampy, for setting up these give-aways.  It allows me to continue my dream of a dual tuner PVR (without having to ask "The Boss"... er, I mean... "The Partner")  She didn't veto build PVR 2.0, but I may not be able to push another tuner card and a firefly remote through Congress just yet...  mmmmbeeer Cheers!  mmmmbeeer
