Can I hook my dvd player up to this?  No matter what way I hook this son of a gun up, it will not let my dvd player work.  I am getting tired of unhooking the DVR box every time I want to watch a DVD player.  The TV is too big to keep moving out.  I can watch DVD's from my computer, but there isn't anything like watching a movie from a big tv.  My Sanyo tv has a yellow, red, and white spots for the cable from the DVD player, but even before I got DVR from my cable company it doesn't work, no matter if it is hooked up there, the only way my dvd player works (without the DVR) is hooking it up to this little box I bought, and hooking it straight to the tv.  However, I did have the DVD player hooked up the same way when I had the "regular" cable box, but once I switched, it just doesn't like the DVR box, there is some kind of conflict going on.

Not enough info yet... First of all what kind of tv is it? I'm asking because I want to know exactly what kind of hookups it has. I can look up your Motorola box and I understand what you've said about your dvd player I think. Here's why I'm asking, to use 2 different things your tv has to have to different ways to input the video. You have a regular cable jack where the cable from the wall (or your box) screws on. This is called a coax jack. Most tvs have one of these. It sounds like you also have a set of rca plugs. They are the ones that are color-coded red, white, and yellow. Do you have any other plugs? Even if these are the only two, you should be able to use your Motorola and your dvd player I would think.

The Motorola should go into the coax jack and the dvd player would go into the rca plugs. To watch the tv your would have your tv on channel 3 (or sometimes 4) and use the Motorola's remote to change channels. To watch your dvd player you need to change the input on your tv. Usually by hitting "input" or "video" on your tv's remote. This should switch the tv to Video1 or Input1 and then you could watch the dvd player. (If you have more that those 2 inputs on your tv, it might say Video2, Video3, etc until you find the correct one.)

Clear as mud?? Smiley If you have more questions please ask.
